Answers we get asked most, direct from the Human Interface Division.
Is the RBF-ART compatible with a previous relationship's firmware?
Compatibility is not backward — it's situational. Prior installs do not transfer, and residual configuration from a previous unit is a common cause of malformed results. See Calibration Procedure.
What if my Humanity Resonance Sequence fails to initiate?
The sequence cannot be forced or scheduled. If it has not initiated, the environment has not yet met the conditions described in Installation Requirements. There is no diagnostic mode.
Can the RBF-ART detect when a reciprocal pathway has reached capacity?
Continued signal presence does not necessarily indicate continued exchange. When interpretive load exceeds available capacity, the system may preserve attachment while reducing active participation.
Can the RBF-ART be reset to factory settings?
There are no factory settings. There is no factory. Every unit is calibrated entirely in the field.
Is technical support available?
Support is provided exclusively through sustained mutual attention. There is no ticketing system, and there has never been a hold queue.
Why does the manufacturer keep calling this a "device"?
Because "device" is a more honest word than the alternatives. It doesn't promise more than it can deliver, and it doesn't pretend to be simple.
Additional Operating Questions
Does stronger signal intensity improve performance?
Not reliably. Signal intensity can increase visibility while decreasing interpretive accuracy. More messages, more urgency, or more emotional force may simply amplify an unstable calibration. The recommended procedure is to improve signal quality before increasing signal volume.
How do I know whether I am noticing or projecting?
You usually do not know immediately. Separate what can be directly observed from the explanation attached to it, then keep alternative explanations available. Projection becomes especially likely when one interpretation conveniently confirms what the operator most hopes or fears to be true.
Can a successful installation stop operating?
Yes. Human systems change. Distance, timing, circumstances, boundaries, health, attention, and priorities can all alter the connection. A past period of genuine resonance does not guarantee indefinite access to the same operating state.
Does a failed deployment mean the original connection was meaningless?
No. Field results are evaluated by what the interaction changed, not only by how long it remained active. Temporary systems can produce permanent revisions.
What is the recommended maintenance schedule?
There is no fixed interval. Maintenance consists primarily of continuing to notice reality, revising assumptions when new information arrives, preserving independent life functions, and occasionally going outside.
"Occasionally going outside" is doing a lot of work in that answer. Is it a real instruction?
It is the only instruction in this document that requires no equipment, no interpretation and no second party, which is probably why it keeps getting read as a joke.
The Human Interface Division maintains one record outside the specification on exactly this point. It concerns the Sun: an object that was called divine for most of human history, was reclassified as an ordinary star, and continues to stop people in the street anyway.
