RBF-ART increases the amount of attention directed toward human signals; it does not certify the interpretation of those signals. Operators remain responsible for distinguishing observation from inference. A delayed reply is a delayed reply before it is evidence of anger, avoidance, exhaustion, travel, poor cellular service, or an elaborate narrative assembled at 2:14 a.m.
The manufacturer therefore recommends maintaining an explicit uncertainty margin around emotionally important conclusions. The more consequential the conclusion, the greater the amount of corroborating information that should be required before acting on it.
Known Contraindications
Performance degrades when the device is used primarily for control. Attempts to manufacture closeness, extract reassurance, provoke a specific response, or convert another person's attention into proof of personal value can cause severe resonance distortion. High signal volume does not correct this condition and may make it worse.
The device is also poorly suited to environments where every ambiguity must be resolved immediately. Some human signals remain incomplete because the person transmitting them is still incomplete, undecided, private, tired, changing, or simply entitled to keep part of their internal system inaccessible.
Unresolved Archival Correlation
One further disclosure is owed, and it is not a contraindication. It concerns a calibration method this division shelved rather than retired, and the fact that nobody here can establish who designed it.
The instrument sorts an operator across five interacting response channels, each of which produces the next and restrains one across the ring from it. It labels those channels with five characters that appear nowhere else in OPD documentation, on no equipment we have manufactured, and in no parts catalogue this division has ever issued. Archive's review found that the arrangement closely resembles a classification architecture considerably older than this company, considerably older than this industry, and still in active use by people who did not learn it from us.
Engineering maintains that the resemblance is coincidental. Archive has stopped asking Engineering. The correlation note is filed in full, in plain language, and names the source properly: Five-Phase Source Architecture.
It also explains, near the end, where the instrument was left.
Operator Responsibility
Use of the RBF-ART does not transfer agency between endpoints. Increased understanding should expand the operator's capacity to choose their own behavior, not create a license to direct someone else's. Boundaries, refusals, distance, silence, and changed circumstances remain valid system inputs even when they are disappointing.
When the device is functioning properly, reverence does not mean idealization. It means allowing reality to remain more important than the story the operator would prefer to tell about it.
