Manual assembly and continuity verification for recovered RBF-ART signal-processing boards.

A partially assembled signal-processing board was recovered from an RBF-ART unit without a complete manufacturing record. The component inventory survived. The assembly sequence did not. Sort the recovered parts, seat each one in its footprint, solder every contact by hand, and verify the four signal zones independently before requesting main power.

No assembly wizard exists for this board. Heat the contact before introducing material, and test each zone before asking the next one to carry current.

Reception Array

Active surfaces receive before they classify. Avoid direct tool contact with the sensor face.

Interpretive Delay Circuit

Timing values should remain unequal enough to prevent premature conclusion.

Reciprocal Signal Pathway

Mirrored paths are not required to carry identical loads. Continuity is the requirement.

Coherence Output Stage

Output is considered stable only when all prior zones remain independently powered.

Soldering

Apply heat to the contact before introducing material. Connection cannot be added to a surface that has not become receptive.

Power Test

A dark trace is not evidence of a failed system. Locate the last verified contact.

Controls

Nothing on this board is dragged. Every action is one click to choose, one click to apply.

Hold the pointer on a contact to heat it. Once it reads READY, introduce material any of three ways.

One. Keep holding and press the right mouse button or the space bar to lay material continuously, then release and lift.

Two. Keep holding and tap the Feed Solder control for one measured dose. Two or three taps make a joint.

Three. Hold to warm, then simply let go. The iron stays parked on the contact and keeps it hot — now click the contact once per dose, and press Lift Iron when the joint looks right. Nothing cools while the iron rests there, so there is no rush.

R rotates a held component. + and − zoom. Arrow keys pan. On a touch screen, hold the contact with one finger and tap Feed Solder with the other.

Operating Options

Single-pointer solder assist

Park the iron on a contact with one tap, then press Feed Solder once. Rewards are unchanged.

Note

The board layout is assembled from four independently selected zone templates, giving eighty-one distinct configurations. The signature printed on the completed record identifies which four were recovered.

Observation

No fault on this board can end an assembly. A failed zone returns for local rework and every previously verified zone stays verified. There is no state from which the operator must begin again.
